Today will be talking about the continued westward expansion of the United States and the impact of that movement on Native American populations(Chapter 15: Section 2). What have we already learned this year about Native Americans?
In your table group, make a PowerPoint outlining the conflict between settlers and Native Americans in the late 1800s. Your PowerPoint must include at least 10 slides and 5 pictures/graphics. The focus of your assignment should be on three particular groups/events:
1) The Lakota Sioux (Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, the Battle of Little Bighorn)
2) The Nez Perce (Chief Joseph, their people fleeing)
3) Native Americans settling on reservations
